Forthcoming Events

B&CRAO has scheduled the following events for 2008:

Wednesday, March 19

Seminar: 'Cold Applied Waterproofing'

Topic: WATERPROOFING - IT'S GOOD TO BE COOL

Current building and restoration requirements are demanding higher performance than that achieved with traditional hot applied waterproofing. Designers and contractors regularly confront waterproofing challenges that cannot be met with traditional hot waterproofing, specifically

1. Urban Applications
2. Increased service life/durability/performance
3. Quicker application

Cold-applied waterproofing is growing in popularity due to inherent product benefits that address these issues.

The presentation will look at current waterproofing challenges and how they can be met with different cold waterproofing options.

Another Successful Golf Tournament
Once again, the B&CRAO Annual Golf Tournament drew its accustomed sell-out. The Tenth Anniversary of the event featured the usual shot-gun and had 148 golfers. It took place at the Carrying Place Golf and Country Club on September 19 on a beautiful summer-like day.

The event was followed by a buffet and sit-down meal and the usual prize exchange.

The foursome of Don Gallant, Jason Gheda, Peter Leong and Fred Elbe won the Ken Smith Memorial Trophy. Their winning score of 57 was the lowest ever achieved beating last year's record score by one. The foursome of Vito Nardi, Tony Paglia, Joe Pimentel and Mike Tedesco came second with 58.

The prize for Longest Drive was won by Bruce Hudson. John McBride won the Closest-to-the-Pin contest.

The venue and date for next year's Tournament have not been confirmed. We'll let you know as soon as the decision is made.
